which helps organizations go through the process of defining and agreeing their Intranet
guidelines, procedures and templates quickly and effectively.
Methodology
Internet Solution Guidelines
and Procedures methodology has been developed from our broad experience of defining and
developing Intranet solutions for some of our major clients. Using this experience we have
built a series of presentations, proforma documents and worksheets which will be used
during the delivery of the service.
The combination of this methodology and the proforma material will help
you define and agree your own guidelines and procedures quickly, whilst benefiting from a
wealth of expertise with regards to how others successfully run their Intranet systems.
Our methodology is tolerable but will usually involve two workshops
with different audiences and several on-site meetings with the Intranet system project
manager, personnel from the internal Marketing Communications department and other
relevant parties.
Deliverables
Deliverables include an
Intranet Guidelines & Procedures document and a set of Intranet web page templates
(typically seven generic templates). The Intranet Guidelines & Procedures document
will include the following information:
Correct
management structure for your Intranet tailored specifically for the organization |
Intranet
information architecture |
Intranet
information content guidelines (for authors) |
Intranet
operating procedures |
Draft
Intranet web page templates (about seven templates) |
Part or all of the Intranet Guidelines and Procedures can be
converted into electronic form for hosting on the Intranet, but this is not included as
part of the standard service.
Timescales
The standard service takes 10 mondays to deliver and is
priced accordingly. However, elapsed time varies depending upon the availability of the
customers' key personnel.
Note: The process can vary depending upon the complexity of the task and the nature of the
customer. This will be agreed prior to starting the service. |
